These could not have come at a better time, when we ladies are trying to break in our new summer heels and sandals!
Ladies you do NOT have to do the walk of pain anymore!!
Ill be the first to admit, there maybe times when I end up getting shoes that JUST fit. I know I should go up a half size, but often times they don't have them, or they're the last pair etc.
Since having my DS23m I have not had occasion to sport a pair of heels until a dinner date the other day. I was excited to get dressed up and go out sans bebe (kidless) that not once did I think that my tender toots my have softened up some during the last few years of wearing sneakers and flats!
Of course I throw on my 2hr heels and head out feeling like a million bucks! Teetering a little, but hey just like riding a bike right? Gaining confidence with every step, I strutted out the door with dear husband in tow.
In true mommy form, those 2 hour heels didn't even last me 1 hour :(
My heel was burning with every walk and I could feel a serious 2nd degree blister tinglingly festering!!
I tried not to let my discomfort show and I was fine while sitting down to dine, it was when hubby proposed going for a walk after eating that I knew I was going to break. Not wanting to admit defeat so quickly and knowing i looked darn cute in my new heels, I accepted. I was okay for a block or two.. Then each step got slower and more cautious. Hubby asked if I was okay and I lied intent on just going one more block. That was until the hot burning with every step was too much to handle and I broke and made headway to the closest bench. Off went the shoes and down went my ego.. What has my life come to when I can't even walk a few blocks in heels anymore? I used to be able to run and jump.. Okay maybe not but damn sure I could last 5 hours burning feet and all out in the club like nothing. I must have been lost in thought of my demise as hubby pulled up alongside me in the van saying "hey good looking... What are you doing out here all by yourself? Want to roll with me?"
It's these little things that remind me why I married this guy!
I walked barefoot over and got in the van. He didn't mention anything and neither did I.
The next day, I tried to put on a cute pair of sandals I bought and felt a watery wetness running down my foot.. I had forgotten all about my defeat with heels, but y feet sure did not!
There it was, a rubbed raw broken weeping blister!! Great!! Not being able to find my flip flops, I remembered getting this Klout perk and it couldn't have been more perfect timing!!
The box contained 6 Blister Cushions
The insert in the box has a warning for diabetics.
Directions say to wash and dry the area thoroughly and not to use any creams or lotions that may affect the adhesive.
Then you just put it on! And that's it! You can wear the same one for several days before changing ... Even in the shower!! This is great!
Applying as directed, I put my new sandals on wondering if this cushion could really stop the pain of my sandal rubbing against the raw blister on my heel.. You know what?
It did.
I went to the BBQ that afternoon and forgot about it completely!
It even stayed on while I showered!
When I took it off a few days later, my blister had healed considerably! It didn't even hurt anymore!!
Would I buy these again?
You betcha!
Only I know now, it's best to use them before you do any real damage to your tender toots!
Stop Blisters Before Blisters Stop You!
If only I'd have known.. I could have had a real fun night with the hubs.. But here will be other days!
I love this product from Band-Aid!
Stay Tuned & Stay Lovely!
~ Product Junki Approved!
Thanks! I've been meaning to get these. Do you think if I wore these will heels they might slide all over the place like regular bandaids?
ReplyDeleteGlad that these helped. You really should buy shoes that fit or your toes might end up all crocked like mine. It's not pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your support. It's always nice to wake up to a message from you.

Thanks for telling us about Band-Aid Blister Cushions. It is helpful to hear about products from a real person who has actually tried them.
ReplyDeleteHey guys, I would normally never do something like this, but based on my experience I have to: Beware when using Band-Aid Advanced Healing Blister pads... the part that is suppose to protect your blister adhered to my skin, melted my flesh, and peeled off like rubber cement. Needless to say I have a huge chunk missing out of both of my feet, and am hobbling around in a ridiculous amount of pain. No offense if you love this product, but as I am a rare case that had an adverse reaction - just a heads up that you may be too.
